Kentuckian believed to be oldest Pearl Harbor survivor dies at 106

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A Kentucky man known as the oldest Pearl Harbor survivor has died at 106 years old.

A release says Vaughn P. Drake Jr. was one of the last known survivors of the attack on Pearl Harbor and was believed to be the oldest.

  1. I'm sure he lived with that every day. How could one forget. Yet he pulled himself up and did the best he could. Sounds like a fine man a true American.

  2. My Dad was on the USS Tangier, which was tied up by the UTAH. His duty station was up in the radio array. He watched the Arizona go up. He passed in 2007. I miss him.
