Right on

Former Supreme Court Justice David Souter, the intellectual New Englander who disappointed Republicans and delighted liberals by slowing a conservative transformation of the high court, died May 8 at his home in New Hampshire. He was 85.

  1. A least he knew when to quit, unlike Ruth Buzzi Ginsberg.

  2. Too bad that evil bastard didn't have eminent domain steal his house and convert it into an AirBnB.

    1. I will never forgive him and the other 4 traitor justices in Kelo v. City of New London, 545 U.S. 469 (2005) that allowed eminent domain for takings of private property for private purposes. This allowed a developer to buy the property. As it turns out, the developer couldn’t get the financing for his project, so Ms. Kelo lost her property for under market value, and the property sits vacant to this day. As a result of this horrendous decision, almost all of the states have bolstered their state constitutions to prevent a repeat of this travesty. The 5 justices that voted for this are worse than communists.

    2. Same thing happened to a classic restaurant in Southern Cal., Bellisle's. City of GG redevelopment fucked them over. Everybody loved that place. But super prime RE due to its proximity to Disneyland, so greedy fingers got involved.

  4. Judicial restraint means ruling no on conservative issues and yes on liberal ones, in other words he's basically John Roberts once removed..

  5. I believe the phrase people are searching for is: "Good riddance to bad rubbish!"

A sentiment to which I heartily agree. Too bad there's other traitorous commie oath breakers in SCOTUS now.

  7. No sympathy here. He was one of the "justices" who ruled in Kelo vs New London that the city could take people's homes, bulldoze them and then sell the land to a corporation (Pfizer) because the corporation's planned new facility would create jobs and raise the city's tax base which is for 'the public good'.
In the end Pfizer didn't build a new facility on the land and it's a vacant lot.

    1. Turned out that developers buying city councils was cheaper than buying property.
But, "The good, they die young", don't they?

    2. If he's referring to Stockton CA, I can personally attest to the fact that it is indeed Hell. I lived only 30 miles south of the city and I can count the number of times I've been there on the fingers of both hands - and that was over a 35 year stretch.

  11. I'm sure that the liberal press will give this guy a good tongue bath. Calling him a disappointment is a disappointment to the word disappointment.
