So you want(ed) to be a gangsta, huh?

A 12-year-old boy in Philadelphia who was making a music video with guns and some older teenagers was shot dead by one of them as they were filming, according to police.

  1. "shooting a video and playing with guns, it should not happen"

What also should not happen is kids having access to guns and NOT having the proper gun safety training. At least one if them should have known a) the check the gun, and no, not everybody is Alec Baldwin to have enough money for enough lawyers to get away with killing somebody, and b) walk away.

    1. How else are you going to "shoot" the video???

  2. The gun did not “go off”. It was fired negligently by a careless and, doubtless, ignorant, uninformed moron who shouldn’t be anywhere near an air soft gun. I’m a strong proponent of the second amendment but nowhere in my training or experience have I ever mistaken a gun for a plaything.

    1. I used to pick up brass very early mornings at an unsupervised public range near my family ranch and look though the garbage bags for good stuff (vintage cartridge boxes, etc.). You'd be amazed at how many hard liquor bottles I'd find in the garbage.

Needless to say, I never shot there. I did all my shooting at the ranch, where the only idiot that could shoot me was me.

    2. "There were guns present and one of them went off" REALLY?! Those poor innocent children were nearby playing music and recording it, when one of the guns sitting nearby, without any human intervention, pointed itself at one of the kids and fired. BFS....The little wannabe thugs in training, emulating their rapper heroes, were playing around and one of them pointed a gun at his friend, and pulled the trigger.

Can I use this excuse if I am drunk in my car? Officer, I was sleeping in the back seat, totally not driving drunk, when the car starting moving on its own...it just went off...I did nothing wrong you see.

These "children" admire thug life, and found out it's not all fun and games.

    3. I am amazed at the power of air guns today. They ain't the BB or pellet guns I knew when growing up.

  3. Hey, it was likely a rap video. Bound to be a casualty here and there, it just adds realism to the video. Now, who's setting up the Fund me account so the parents, victims, and the victims of society can live in luxury

    1. Good point! You can't be called a rapper unless you kill somebody, and that somebody includes yourself.

  10. “There were some guns present, and one of them went off, shooting the 12-year-old, ultimately killing him,” the inspector said. Presto, Magico! Those guns have a mind of their own.
