President Trump Surprises Fort Bragg Crowd With Big Announcement

President Donald Trump announced Tuesday that his administration will restore the original names of several U.S. Army bases that were renamed during the Biden presidency. Speaking at Fort Bragg, Trump said the renaming effort was politically driven and unnecessary.

  1. While he's at it, he ought to Americanize the names of California cities like he did the Gulf of America: St. James for San Diego, St. Frank for San Francisco, etc...
Just to piss of the Mexican pundejos that want 1830 borders.

    1. SF is still Sad Freakshow.
We paid cash for the place and then paid them again when we did the Gadsden purchase. If they want it back, they can pay for it at today's rate, BUT they take a proportionate chunk of the national debt....
Screw that, not only do we deport all their people, but while we're doing it we stop completely, all Western Union and RIA transfers.

  4. As much as I appreciate the joy of owning libs it is getting to the point in which I wish Trump would focus in running the country.
Inflation is still an issue, tariffs and uncertainty make it impossible to plan business, we are about to explode the deficit with a couple extra trillion dollars worth of debt and he is concerned with the name of a base?

It was silly when Biden did it. It is still silly for Trump to do it. Move one and focus on real problems.

Just number the bases and be done with it.

    1. Bite me. Number the bases? Are you fucking retarded? Why not number the ships, too, while we're at it? And how about every soldier and marine gets their name stripped, and reissued a number for the duration of service? Guess what: President Trump can do more than one thing per week. In fact, he can both undo Biden's madness with renaming the bases that train and support our military (instead of surrendering as you suggest), and kick China's ass with the Tariff threats. And take suppressors off the NFA! And more! It's not freaking binary, "he's renaming the bases so he can't do anything else!!1!".

Our culture is a real problem. The neutering of our military is a real problem, and the renaming is a symptom. I bet you'd object of Trump proposed a bill utterly banning all gender "affirming" care for kids under 18, because that "isn't a real problem" because it has no direct effect on your freaking pocketbook. Solipsistic much?

    3. Uh, they do number the ships.
There's damn near nothing in the military that isn't numbered. (I had to stencil my ssn onto my scivvy-shorts in boot)
      Jus' sayin.

    4. Yes, and the troops have numbers, too. Question: do the troops also have names? How about the ships?
Yep! Everything has numbers, because logistics and bureaucracy.

But just about everything also has a *name* even down to the circlips aka Jesus clips. The OP said "just number the bases and be done with it." Which is a level of dystopian, apathetic, solipsistic lunacy I didn't expect. (Solipsistic for multiple reasons, on of which is that only a narcissistic jackalope would think "it doesn't matter to me what they're called and therefore it cannot matter to anyone, and if it does they're imbeciles who don't matter")

    6. Strange how Trump IS running the country, and Democrat Communist fucktards refuse to see any of it. Everyone is so preoccupied with "Orange Man Bad," that the idiot Commies in Eastern Canada voted for Trudeau 2.0 and are in the process of crying because Western Canada is going to leave and stop paying everyone else's bills.
If Trump cured cancer today, tomorrow CNN would be screaming about all of the scientific researchers he put out of work.
I can't decide if the Left a really that fucking stupid, or that they refuse to think. Either way, I hope they ALL took multiple jabs and boosters, so they all die soon - I'm WAITING.

  5. I hate to be a stick in the mud. But, here goes. Is this necessary? How much will it cost for all of the preprinted correspondence to be discarded and reprinted? How much to change all of the databases that contain the addresses, in the gov computers and everyone that does business with them? Then all of the folks who have ID papers that mention the base? This is almost as silly as the daylight savings time bullshit and all of the time that is sunk testing the changes on computers that deal with time stamps and run refineries, the grid, and other parts of the economy.

I get the pride associated with the name and the historical significance.

    1. I get your point, Storm, but it's 'just a few million bucks' (Yeah, I know, a few million here, a few million there, and pretty soon you're talking about real money), but it has great symbolic value to the morale of the people we rely on to keep us safe. Incidentally, those military bases were named after Confederate soldiers in the first place as a gesture of reconciliation to the South after the Civil War.

    2. The limp wrist libtards should never have been allowed to change the names in the first place.
