  2. #9 does Licking County (Ohio?) have any affiliation with Sucking Country (Roscommon, Ireland)?

  4. #3 Ahummdellah, gesundheit, whichever. Makes that .50 AE look weak. BTW, wouldn't it be nice to have a .50 Boewolf bolt for the Desert Eagle?

    2. My little terrierist/chihuahua mix Hillary would do that to the point I had to take her ball away before she collapsed from exhaustion.

  11. The first one-
That cell drifting over the lake is awesome. That's been happening a lot over the High Sierra this week.

For those that have never experienced it, it would help you understand the love native Californians have for this magnificent place. It's the California that Gavin Newsom will never appreciate because he's a city kid, who only worships Mammon, not God.

    1. I really, really miss the High Sierra. Sonora Pass had more to offer than Yosemite as far as I'm concerned.

    2. Chico, northern California.
1999, about this time of year, a few minutes after sundown.
      .
Walking the dogs and glancing east, we were mesmerized by hundreds of simultaneous lightening storms over the Sahara Nevada Range.
      Cloud-to-cloud, cloud-to-ground, ground-to-cloud, circular looping lightening.
Constant and continual for an hour or so.
      .
There were times I saw three or five or a dozen lightenings in one second.
Multiply that by sixty seconds for a minute then sixty minutes for the hour we stood there.
      Magical.

    3. Ken- I'll bet you got soaked from more than one of those downpours while you were you exploring the pass. And I'll also bet you didn't mind a bit.
Your YouTube videos of the Sonora-Mono Toll Road are still some of my favorites.

    4. Uh huh, there's all kinds of weird weather there. I even got snowed on in July one time.
It's funny but the few things I miss about California do not involve people.

  14. #7 Somebody is reloading with Power Pistol powder. A buddy gave me a partial bottle of it. I could not find a load for 9mm or 38 Spl where it didn't have extreme muzzle flash. I ended up making firecrackers out of it.
