  1. Man that hits a fellow right in the gut; best buddies ever.
Are they heavenly sent? I can't find a Biblical passage either way, so I'm going with that.

    4. So why bother to comment? Unless you just thought being a downer and an anonymous ass would somehow make things better.

Some people just have to be fucktards.

  4. Not a complaint, just expressing my aversion to the overuse of those damn little faces.

    1. I don't care for them either but I'm not going to let them ruin the simple pleasures of life, especially one that disappears 5 seconds into the video.

  7. Great stuff Kenny, keep em coming. Always makes my morning a little brighter. Many times I show them to my wife, such as this one, and always a big smile.

  8. It's not that we don't want a dog. It's the fact that we will lose then way too soon. No older male wants that pain again.

  9. I had considered dogs to be too much work for my life style, I worked long hours, wanted to be able to take off for a couple of days at the drop of a hat. Cats fit my life better. I remarried then retired and new wife insisted on getting a dog. When we married we had 2 cats each, I didnt know she was really a dog person. We got this little, ancient toy poodle rescue dog. He was a physical wreck, deaf, one eye and going blind but he was a trooper. He’d sit still, in my lap when I gave him his eye meds and he loved his walks. He was growing on me when he up and died, his pancreas blew and he went from happy pup to deaths door in a few hours. The vets couldnt save him. A couple of weeks later wife wants another dog, I wasnt ready but she drug me to the humane society anyway. We came home with another used dog, he came from the mid east in a plane load of rescue dogs. He had a lot of medical issues including having a leg amputated once he was settled in our home. “Bobby” can be a little shit head at times but I love him dearly. He was 4-5 yrs when we got him 6 yrs ago and I know he doesnt have too many more years but he’s been a blessing. There was actually another dog during this period that I went and got but he had to be put to sleep on my birthday last fall, he was only 3 1/2. He deserves his own story on another day, I still cant talk about him without choking up.

  11. Yep, I didn't want a dog, Girlfriend gave me one, just left her with me, a tiny lab puppy.

17 years alter, she left without me. Made me a better person. I had to step up and be what I needed to be. Loved her more than family (or the girlfriend). Biggest loss so far in my life was the day I had to put her down.

Funny how dogs worm their way into our hearts.

  12. again, thanks for the morning smile. dogs are a gift that ends way too soon.
it the quiet after they are gone that hurts the most I think. knowing they never coming back.

  13. Reminds me of myself. My wife brought home a mutt 15 years ago and I was livid for her not asking and I didn’t think we had time for a pet (both of us worked two jobs). After a couple of months the dog found a space under our fence and went exploring while my wife was outside with her. My wife told me she was missing and I told her get in the truck and we went a looking. I was in panic mode and told my wife if anything happened to her or we can’t find her I would kick my wife’s ass (not literally of course). We found the dog and I teared up, my wife said later it was at that point she knew the dog was part of my family.
