The same people throughout history. The tyrants, the communists, the would be dictators and most recently the Democrats (another name for tyrants, communists and dictators). The reason is because you cannot easily rule over people with guns/weapons.
The main issue is that the majority of people operate from emotion, not reason. They hear that someone was shot and died, and feel sad. To reduce the sadness they want to do something. They don't know the Constitution and the "reason" for the 1st and 2nd amendments, so the tyrants come along and say "we will make reasonable laws" to control guns so that innocent people will never get hurt. The tyrants do their best "reasonable" dance and show and the emotional people go along with it and feel better without ever considering the consequences. Richard in Colorado
