I live on a road that's driveable at 55, posted at 45, and invariably I get stuck behind somebody that's doing 35.
If that's not bad enough, the driver doing 35 is waiting to turn onto my road as I'm approaching and it seems like it's almost always in a spot where he or she can see there's no other cars behind me, yet they'll wait until I'm almost to them before pulling right out in front of me causing me to slam on my brakes, then it takes them forever to get up to 35mph. I'm sorry, but if you're going to pull out in front of me when you could've waited another 5 seconds, you have a moral obligation to drive the speed limit at the very least.
It's funny, but getting stuck behind a tractor, sprayer or combine doesn't bother me one bit. Matter of fact, during the planting or harvesting season you automatically add extra time to your trip planning - it's called the Tractor Factor. It's just part of life around here.
Yep. Dawdling and dithering drivers are one of my pet hates too. Slow moving farm vehicles are fine, they are slow by definition, slow drivers though, they really piss me off.
ReplyDeleteStonyground.
just another negro murdering a white man.
ReplyDeleteYou may think I’m wrong or nuts but I’ve been driving for 65 years and with OCD I've taken in lots of crazy driving activity so here goes:
ReplyDeleteLots of times it's not so much as the vehicle going too slow as much as it is a subconscious message saying: "The driver of the car by being in front of you is better then, you so you must either get passed or push him off the road by any means". Since many people are emotional reacting, instant gratification and insecure road rage ensues.
How did I know the race of the assassin without reading the article?
ReplyDeleteI can think about at least 2 reasons:
Delete1. You have preconceived notions (blacks are evil) and purposely seek information that can help you reinforce the things you already believe. This is called confirmation bias. Truly smart people seek information that refutes what they believe as a way to find what is really true.
2. You read this blog which is published by a person with the same preconceived notions as you. The person who publishes this blog also thinks that black people are inherently evil and chooses to only or mostly publish articles that show black people in a negative way. Although statistically more murders are perpetrated by white people you hardly ever see them here. I'm not a racist but I also knew that there was a high chance that one or both of the people involved were black. Otherwise CW would not have published it in his blog.
If you are interested the FBI (Patel, Bongino and friends) has detailed murder statistics by race, gender and ethnicity that could help you deal with your bias and get you close to the truth when it comes to murder rates in America
Anon@1:41: You're so full of shit your breath stinks. You don't know me or a fucking thing about me yet you're judging me? And you're accusing us of having preconceived notions? Fuck you.
DeleteI'm going to tell you the same thing I tell every leftist piece of garbage that comes here to lecture us - if you don't like what you see here, leave. Nobody's twisting your arm to be here.
Re Anon@1:41:
DeleteCome here for the laffs, stay for the preconceived notions.
What on earth is an easily butthurt social justice wanker doing at this site in the first place? There are plenty of online safe spaces where you can shine your virtue beacon without having to sully your hands among us dirt people.
We play a little game called GTR here. Don't like it? GTFO.
Liberal dipshit @ 11.41
DeleteWhat a huge pile of crap, do the other leftist that pay you to be here pay by the word....
I'm sure every time a black person is arrested it's racism in your jello mind and a white person deserves it..
At a national average white people create approximately 54% of the crime in the US but are roughly 62% of the population. Black people create 24% of the crime but is 12% of the population...
I realize you're stupid so I'll put it this way, the odds of a black person doing a crime is roughly twice as likely in comparison to the population of blacks in America..
Now go back to the shithole you popped out of and fuck yourself

What you've described has caused me to think that they are deliberately trying to cause an accident, so they can claim insurance. They are anticipating that you won't be able to stop in time.
ReplyDeleteMost of the time I can tell they're on their smartphone as I approach. I'm assuming they just have their head up their ass.
DeleteYou see plenty of entitled snowflakes who say "I am driving the speed limit, so I am entitled to drive in the left hand lane and impede the smooth flow of traffic." Thankfully, driving in the left hand lane without passing is a ticket in KY. They need to write more of them.
DeleteNever ascribe to malice that which can easily be explained by stupidity.
DeleteYou think it's bad when you're in a vehicle try 2 wheels. Assholes don't look, don't wait, don't care.

IMHO……
DeleteIf they’re riding in your blind spot…..
They’re looking for an accident and…..a payday.

Ken, I'm with you. I always yield for the working man. Fella is just out there trying to make a living. I also check license plates. If it's an out of stater I am cautious. I've been there as we all have. Don't know the road, may not know where to hell ya are so I cut those folks a huss at least for a little while. Those sons a bitches that pull out in front of you and go slow I have no tolerance for. It's like I was here first so fuck you. Pisses me off.
ReplyDeleteI know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover but the shooter looks like he has attitude without any filters about exercising it. Gangsta a f etc ...
ReplyDeleteI have felt the best response to annoyingly slow drivers was a drop box mounted in the roof of my car with a 20 mm cannon mounted on a hydraulic lift.

"I had to because he was blocking me in"...such amazing logic.
ReplyDeleteHa! So it's not just me! Every dang morning an idiot rolls through the stop sign at their neighborhood entrance without a pause, cuts me off, and then proceeds to drive 10 mph below the speed limit.
ReplyDeleteI drive slow, not much you can do about it either. Don't even bother trying.
ReplyDeleteYou know what grinds my gears? Drivers darting between lanes to get that one-car-length advantage at the next stoplight.
ReplyDeleteAlso, drivers who do not use their turn signals.
