  1. #7 ... First thing, I bought a rubberized Otter case and a wrist strap for my cellphone. Same phone, six years on, not a scratch. Don't care how gay it looks, I am a klutz and I own it.

    1. I've put Otterbox cases on every portable electronic device possible since 2010 or earlier. For phones, I use the Defender series that has a hard plastic belt holster. Like you, I don't care how "gay" or "boomer" it looks. My last personal phone survived 10 years without a scratch or broken screen after countless drops, some from good height. The only reason I replaced it was that its battery wouldn't hold a charge anymore. I've got a tablet almost that old, too, in an Otterbox and in perfect shape.

  6. #7. After a bike ride my phone was missing. I went to the find my phone site and it showed me where it was, in the middle of street by the median. When I found it there were tire tracks on the case, the screen plastic shield was scratched but the phone worked.

  7. My mom was out in the garden when a wheel came flying down the hill missing her by 4 feet. If it had hit her it would have killed her. Guy was changing a tire and lost his grip.

    1. Clearly the photographer lacked situational awareness. Instead of dodging the tire that was headed his way, he stayed focused on the car that threw it at him. Hope he wasn't hurt too badly.

  12. #10 Cement is a lot of water at that point and it will slosh forward and get out. If it doesn't get out you skid forward a few more feet. Lots of loads act like that BTW.

    1. That's all I see around here. I've yet to see a rear dump cement truck in the (almost) 10 years I've been here.
