A Japanese octogenarian was swindled out of thousands of dollars after falling in love online with a self-described astronaut who sought her help to avert a spaceship crisis, police said Tuesday.
So she was told she talking to someone in space and didn't think he was probably lying .... Well a fool and their money definitely applies here. Oh and I loved the Ziggy Stardust days of David Bowie, trippy shit JD
Cool... I've been a Bowie fan since way back when.. We had The Midnight Special and Wolfman Jack here in the states back then, not sure if it was available across the pond, and Bowie was a regular on the shows.. I was too young to go see him back in his Ziggy Stardust days but I did catch a show ones and he was great live to. JD
My wife answered her phone the other day. I heard her laugh and hang up. I said whats up? She said an Indian with a dot told her they found a problem with her McAfee security. Too many drivers were opened. He said first we need you to get on your computer so we can remedy the problem. That's when she laughed and hung up. She then got on the computer and typed in McAfee scam and there it was, exactly what the idiot on phone was trying to get her to do.
Any time I answer the phone and hear a Hindu talking to me, I interrupt him and ask him to take the dick out of his mouth so I can understand what he's saying.

In astronautical terms he was in her orbit and needed some in-space refueling
ReplyDeleteThis has to be a wager among scammers to see who could come up with the most outrageous story and get money from a victim.
ReplyDeleteI was more amazed the story was carried by AOL, I thought they were long gone
ReplyDeleteI know, me too. I did a double take when I saw it.
DeleteStill use my original (1992) AOL email addy as primary. Most people think it's a fake when I give it out (like '555' exchanges in phone numbers).
