  2. #3 - ran hurdles in high school. At one meet I tripped over several during the warmup. At the starting line I told the guy next to me(who was favored to win) to watch out, as I was having a bad time that day tripping on hurdles. He came out of the blocks keeping one eye on me, which slowed him down.

    1. Muscle memory. He probably didn't even realize he was turning the steering wheel. Either that or he was leaning on advice from test pilot Bob Hoover:
      “If you’re faced with a forced landing, fly the thing as far into the crash as possible.”
