Honestly this sounds like my dad when the dementia started getting bad. He was on long term care pretty soon after that where they were mostly trained to deal with the violent outbursts.
The first 40 years of marriage are the toughest. Then the next 40 years, they're the toughest, too. After that, the marriage goes into a bit of a decline. Axe me how I know.
