#3: And? I did 2*60 miles on the Dalton Highway in the rain two months ago. Back in Colorado there still is mud UNDER my car in spite of deliberately driving when there is a downpour. 🤔😇🤣
#8 ~ Frecce Tricolori (Tricolour Arrows) - the aerobatic demonstration team. As much as I love the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels, Frecce Tricolori perform some of the most amazing maneuvers.
# 1 Cats can be so weird # 3 An old barn find maybe # 6 Never let them get that much lead and head start on any dog bigger than a ankle bitter # 9 I love a good airshow # 10 Not sure what's going on with this one JD
#5- I used one of those mag cranes during the time I weighed up 10 ton heats for melting. Most of the scrap was pretty much plain iron, from crushed up GMC vehicles, since we got it from either Traverse City or Lansing. The alloy is called 1010, different by 1080 carbon steel by only the carbon content. We also got tons of an alloy called 409, again just a bit lower in carbon from 410 stainless steel. That alloy was from stainless steel exhaust systems.
I find vids like #2 and #3 curiously satisfying. That whole engineer-autiste thing, I guess. As a kid I used to stop and watch, mesmerized, as the old Italian masons in my neighborhood lay brick by eye, with nothing but a plumb bob and level.
Worked with Mainers, at lunch they discussed the flat landers on the school board wanting to start the school year two weeks sooner. Father #1 told them fine but his kids wouldn't be there. When asked why, he said where the hell do you think they get the money for new shoes, back packs, and school supplies. The board had no idea. Picking blueberrys you fools. I miss those guys. Jpaul

ReplyDelete#3 Looks like somebody went through a shit storm.
ReplyDelete#9 is another one of many back breaking, low paying jobs up here in Maine. Comparable to digging clams.
