Old habits die hard

A Chicago man with a criminal record spanning four decades has been sentenced to six years in prison after committing a pair of break-ins less than 48 hours after his last release from the Illinois Department of Corrections.

  1. A significant percentage of society is irredeemably incorrigible. No amount of "rehabilitation" will ever make them useful or productive. We as a society use to know and understand this fact. Lately it seems most have forgotten this fact. And we all are paying a very steep price for this.

    1. I like to say it as they're "incompetent to manage their own lives without being a drain on and even a danger to everyone else."

      The only actual solutions are slavery, or just killing them. Slavery is, of course, perfectly legal and constitutional, and is in fact what we do now. "Prison" it's called. Same diff. Life sentence without the possibility of parole, in other words.

      We just need harsher sentences for repeat offenders, as Miss Congeniality said.
