White men attempted to "build countries" in just about every corner of the planet. They succeeded in some places and failed in others. All of Central and South America and Africa were failures. I would argue that white men failed in Asia in places where Asians succeeded after the white men left (Singapore, Malaysia) and in others failed so miserably that condemned those countries to centuries of misery (Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia). In fairness the places where white men succeeded are fewer than the places were they failed. I would argue that USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand are whins for white men. I may be forgetting some. The rest of the European colonial endeavors are brutal failures. Not a great track record.
Asians, for the most part, didn't need the White man, they already had great societies for centuries beforehand. As far as Central and South America, they never really got a toehold there.
And how many aborigines are still living like aborginese, as opposed to those who are living like white people now?... 'Same goes for "native" Americans...
