I guess it depends on how you look at it
When Mayor Brandon Johnson held a long-awaited press conference to finally address the murder of Loyola University freshman Sheridan Gorman last month, his slide deck included a talking point that has become increasingly popular among city officials: “CPD’s clearance rate has reached 75%,” one slide claimed, a reference to the rate of murder cases the city says its detective division solves.
