Chinese Massacre Cove, Oregon
In May 1887, Chinese Massacre Cove, along the Snake River in Wallowa County, Oregon, was the location of the Hells Canyon Massacre, where up to 34 Chinese gold miners were ambushed, murdered, and robbed by a gang of horse thieves and schoolboys from Wallowa County, several of whom were from prominent families.
