I'm sorry, who?

The Atlanta-based rap artist known as Lil Marlo has died, his record label said Sunday.

Quality Control Music announced the death of Rudolph “Marlo” Johnson in a social media post, saying he will be remembered as “a man of great talent who feared nothing.”

A statement from the Atlanta Police Department says a man named Rudolph Johnson was killed late Saturday in what investigators believe was a targeted shooting.

  1. There is something about having a criminal record or being in a shootout that adds to the Rap performer's popularity. The Rap music community here in Atlanta looses a couple "artists" a year to lead poisoning.

  2. Why I remember...Back in the 60's, a few of the young people from my church would go out after the evening service. One of the places we would go was "Johnny Reb's" a hamburger place downtown. We'd have to park a couple of blocks away and walk to the restaurant - in the dark. I haven't been "downtown" in many years but I doubt there's a place named "Johnny Reb's" any more and I doubt it would be a good idea to walk around down there in the dark.

  3. "Rap artist" is the polite way of saying "POS gang banging hoodlum trash."

  4. WTF, why do they all have the first name "Lil"? That might have worked if they were 5 or 6 years old.

  8. It looks like this dude was whacked in retaliation for the gansta style shooting in the Lavish Lounge at Greenville, SC which 2 were killed and 6 others wounded. The Atlanta based Rapper Foogiano was performing at the time and some of his entourage started blasting for some reason that only the monkeys in the jungle know.
