The Pony Foal was abandoned by his mother a few hours after he was born He is called Breeze. The horse sanctuary he is at in Great Britain found that abandoned baby animals will bond with large stuffed animals in this case a 4-foot teddy bear dubbed Button. I see something like that and I have the time so I decided to do a Paul Harvey and you the rest of the story.
It probably has to do with the new-born foal sleeping on the stuffed animal imparting lots of the foals scents as well as the mother's scents. How the "bear" has remained looking so clean is beyond me. But I would think washing the bear would destroy all the natural scents the foal has come to want near it.
