America is ancient Rome and could end the same way

Toward the end of the 2nd century B.C., the Roman republic had reached a crossroads. The threat of rival superpower Carthage had been extinguished forever. Via extensive conquest, Rome now had to govern lands not just in its own peninsula, but from modern Spain through North Africa, Greece, and beyond. It was this expansion that brought new geopolitical regions to control with military might, economic and cultural conditions to consider as populations of a vast variety entered the Roman world, and internal political division and strife that an abundance of success brought.

  1. There's no "could" about it. Read the The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire by Edward Gibbons. It's a seven (if I remember correctly) volume set that covers in detail what happened throughout Rome's history.

We are on the almost exact same path that ancient Rome was on. Debasing our currency, provided to us BY LAW, from the Federal Reserve, by that lefty Woodrow Wilson, is the culprit that has and will do us in, just like it did to Rome. Between that and the commies being allowed to steal elections, we're toast unless the Fed is ended and we somehow purge the country of the commies and all the rest of the progressives that are ruining our lives for sport.

    1. Zactly. Name a single republic in history that survived and the numerous reasons such as voting from the government till and the problems it causes. History rhymes and repeats. Ben Franklin said at the beginning we got a republic if we can keep it.

  2. It wasn't that simple. Read your Gibbon and/or Durant.

  3. 2020 - 1776 = 244. The average republic's lifespan is about 250 years. Do the math.

  4. The republic is finished. We let 60 million non-Europeans, plus 20 million illegal aliens, none of whom were forced to assimilate. They have no affinity for Washington or Jefferson or natural law. Then, the tens of millions of whites who wholeheartedly accept communism and thus paint our history as racist to undermine American nationalism.

The best we can hope for is conservative dictator that will restore America, otherwise it is communism.

There is always another option! And think of it this way - if we ultimately win, those godless infidel commies will get what's coming to them.

  6. I figure our fine lefty betters will try to install a Hitler but we'll get a Caesar in reaction after they destroy the republic.
Which might be cool, the Roman emperors mostly just killed and hassled patricians and left the People alone.

Unfortunately, in American politics, everything is aimed at "making the rich pay their fair share" - at which point, almost all of us suddenly find out that we are part of "the rich".

  7. I went and read the article, noticed this.
"This meant that the foundation of the military could no longer be the citizen-farmer who went on seasonal campaigns".
Sounds like the Romans went viking ...

If you ever want to take a stab at reading Gibbons' The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" it's at Project Gutenberg as a free download.
