After having prostate cancer and having to go through that shit, I had a "fuck the world " attitude as well, but I didn't go that far! What I did and still do, is Lay it out there and tell all you boys to get that thang checked out. I got lucky and almost accidently found out pretty much after things usually have already gone bad. I just found that a friend of mine was found to have metastatic prostate cancer of his entire spine. He's got very little time left. Me, I had it removed surgically, and while I'm not out of the woods yet, I'm about 99% there. The blood test is simple and you should get educated before making any decisions if there's an issue. I didn't have a choice. Radical surgery. I recovered better than most, and I'll now probably die of something else. I'll get off my soap box now, and y'all get to the doctor soon, Ya hear Me?
I see it as part of life, with 2 cancer survivors in my family I would say somebody refuses to let a disibilty hold them back from living the way they want.
Good for them, the people who are prudes and have a fit and are offended could kiss my ass and be glad its a urostomy bag and not a colostomy bag.
For 3 months I had a tube extending from an infected pseudo-cyst in my pancreas through a hole in my chest that drained infected fluid into a bottle. I was able to keep the bottle hidden in a fanny pack with the tube covered by my clothing.
Although the apparatus was well hidden, my students noticed and I explained the whole situation to them. For a bunch of teenagers, they were quite understanding about the whole thing.
That said, I see no reason to inflict your pain on innocent bystanders.
