Hoppes' Boresnake

I carry a Boresnake with me in a small tin when I'm up in the mountains for a quick bore cleaning and really like it. It's no substitute for a thorough cleaning with a brush and solvent when you get home but it will keep your weapon shootable until you can do it properly.

    Be careful with those. I've heard of the pull cord coming off leaving the bore snake in the barrel with no real good way to get it out.

    Have three different ones in my gun tool box. And one in each go-bag. Great tool, works like a charm.

    I have about half a dozen in calibers from .22 to .44. Great product!

    A great field tool.... but I agree a thorough cleaning is required when ya' get back the the house.
