Shove it up your collective political asses

The White House is weighing a far broader and more comprehensive approach to curbing the nation’s gun violence than simply reinstating an expired ban on assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition, according to multiple people involved in the administration’s discussions.
A working group led by Vice President Biden is seriously considering measures backed by key law enforcement leaders that would require universal background checks for firearm buyers, track the movement and sale of weapons through a national database, strengthen mental health checks, and stiffen penalties for carrying guns near schools or giving them to minors, the sources said.

One result of these restrictions are that cop killings are going to skyrocket. People that would ordinarily never even consider threatening a cop will now realize that if that officer insists on searching their vehicle and there's a gun in there, they're going to go to jail for a very long time. Desperate people do desperate things.

Notice where they state they will stiffen penalties for carrying guns near school...

Really? WTF? Do they honestly think stiffening penalties will prevent someone already intent on doing a criminal action like a school shooting ?

I say, sure you can do just that, right after you convince me and every over person with any common sense that you can get everyone to follow current law.

"cop killings are going to skyrocket."

I'm trying to see the downside to that.
