Man, between having to replace my AC unit (cost: $3800) Wednesday, blowing the transmission up in my truck (cost: $3700) Thursday, and then the old blog falling completely apart (cost: handfuls of hair) Friday, all of that within 3 days, I'm at the end of my rope. I was almost afraid to mow my yard Saturday just knowing I was going to blow the engine in my mower.
I know things could be worse, I'm just not entirely sure how. All I know is when I go outside I'm looking up at the sky waiting for that fucking lightning bolt.
Yeah, it was a rough week.
Yeah, several years ago every single appliance in my house failed and had to be replaced. Was an expensive year.
ReplyDeleteHang in there, buddy. Shit happens in threes so you're probably over the hump with everything. But yeah, holy cow you've taken a beating. Hopefully you'll get a little good luck sent your way.
ReplyDeleteKapt Kaos
Well, I woke up to 6" of snow and it is still falling.
ReplyDeleteAnd it is heading your direction.
Sorry to hear of the troubles. Last June was like that for us. Lots of expensive shit broke, all at the same time. Then I got hit in the head. I am just starting to fight the insurance company over that incident.
ReplyDeleteBad things come in threes, so you're good. In fact, given the shitty three-fer you just got, now is a good time to engage in risky behaviors. I'd say you're fucked-proof for the next while...
ReplyDeleteI must've been standing too close to you, or you to me. I dinged my head last Saturday. I'm sitting at home, staring at walls in dark rooms. I feel you bud. I really do.
ReplyDeleteI've got a blown engine if you want to save yourself the trouble.
ReplyDeleteShit like that comes in threes. You are good to go. I hope.
ReplyDeleteI had to get a new HVAC unit a year ago, a transmission for the Tahoe in January and now, guess what? The lawn tractor went to the shop last Tuesday. Tread lightly Kenny, tread very lightly.
ReplyDeleteFuuuuuuuuuck bro! Tough week... I'll hit the tip jar on payday man....
ReplyDeleteBeen there. Paid that!
ReplyDeleteApril, 2019: Road sign leans into roadway, takes out my right mirror.
June, 2019: Transmission rebuild.
July, 2019: Tax refund of $220. Replacement brake/transmission interface switch $204.75
August, 2019: Replacement crown on lower left side.
Sept, 2019: Wife gets new crown.
Oct, 2019: A/C needs replacement. Hey, it was almost 15 years old.
Dec, 2019: Nope, no Christmas trip or gifts for either of us.
Did I mention Dad breaking his hip in October?
Always thought it would be nice to visit Kenny next time I drove through TN. Now I think we should stay at least one state apart.
Hugs and prayers, been there, done that.
ReplyDeleteThe Whole Month Of July for the entire length of the time Hubby and I were married. One Effing disaster after another, it would take the rest of the year to get over it financially. Then the cycle would begin again for 28 years until he passed away. And yup, his first stroke happened in July of 2014. I still get nervous as July approaches. PTSD or maybe Pavlov's Conditioning.
We catch the most flack when we are over the target... You are doing good work and the devil does not approve, happy people have hope.. Here is a prayer and a thank you sir, salute.
