Canada Geese are tough buggers. I shot one, it fell to earth with a broken wing, I walked over to wring it's neck, it stood up and ran at me on the attack, hissing like mad. I had to shoot it again.
I know those geese are protected but in this case it doesn't seem like an overly tough task to grab them by the neck and turn them into a feather hammer.
Just in case it ever happens to you. Its real easy you reach out and grab him by the neck and squeeze. They stop real fast. Yes it is from experience and having raised many animals. Dont show fear and stand up to the animal.
That Tippi Hendren by any chance? Some people draw flies, others are fowl magnets.

ReplyDeleteI see a goose that just invited itself to dinner...
ReplyDeleteGood one. And it will not ask, "So, what's for dessert?"
DeleteGot disinvited, they threw it out after it hopped in.
DeleteThose make a darned good gumbo, especially when they volunteer.
ReplyDeleteI had a swan do that to me once. He ran me off! Those are big birds!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't harm the goose. He's just protecting a nest.
Gives new meaning to getting "goosed".
ReplyDeleteThat goose (or gander?) apparently descended from the unfortunates that tangled with Crazy Charlie.
