Hey, they own the place, right?

There’s growing frustration among owners of vacation homes in South Lake Tahoe as they find they are unable to visit their property because of the California’s stay-at-home order.

The city cracked down on nonessential travel and the use of short-term rentals after seeing tourists flock in record numbers to the region after Gov. Gavin Newsom implemented the stay-at-home order in March. Now, owners of those homes are fighting the ban and the fine of $1,000 per day.

  1. Does this mean Pelosi is not allowed to fly from Kalifonia to DC to her other home there?

  2. Didn't read the article so don't know all of what is said, but something that's pissed me off since day one of quarantine (and my wife's probably sick and tired of me bitching about it) is all the urbanites mass migrating out of the nasty city environments/petri dishes they've created and coming out here into rural America to "weather out" the storm (their words not mine). They either owned small cabins, are staying with friends/relatives or brought campers and just plopped them down on public lands that have no enforcement at the moment. This behavior negates the purpose of closing down and puts us in rural environments at much higher risk of contracting this predominantly "city" disease. I made a little sign I hold up in my window that says "outsider go home" whenever I see an out of town or even out of state plate driving in my neighborhood. Nothing says isolationist like me telling people to get the F out of here. :) And that folks, is how I roll.

    1. We get that a lot in West Virginia, folks from New York or Pennsylvania and other eastern points getting on Facebook asking for advice on campgrounds and if people are letting anyone camp in their property. But if someone owns property from out of state and pay taxes on it I think they should have the right to use it, just not bring a whole tribe with them.

  4. I've been itching to go to camp for a while now. I just might despite stay at home orders in the state that it's in. If I go, I'm bringing my copy of the deed to show that I'm a landowner in case the constabulary decides to stop me. Not that it probably will make any difference to any of these red necks where camp is.

  5. I predict lots of lawsuits against city/county/state government over these so-called "orders" that are in conflict with our rights under the Constitution. And may all the plaintiffs win huge cash awards.

  6. How many of these idiots that voted for these politicians are going to vote for them again when this is all over
