I don't know, I'm not mechanically inclined for the most part but I can change a bad plug or coil pack, cam and crank sensors, vacuum hoses, brakes, and even the throttle body on the side of the road. It just depends on the tools and spare parts you carry. Actually I can pretty much repair/replace anything on my 2001 F-150 as long as I don't have to go inside the engine. I'm not saying it's not a royal pain in the ass, but it can be done.
Damn! He didn't even unload the thing first.
ReplyDeleteYou don't usually see a full-auto hood rod. Standard equipment?
ReplyDeleteSurprised he didn't use a chain saw M4.
ReplyDeleteThat would be a chain saw BAYONET M4 ;^)).

Unless it's a dead battery, there is nothing on modern vehicles that can be fixed roadside.

Well Ok, if you can diagnose the problem, yes. How many can diagnose roadside.
DeleteSome stuff I can, especially if it's happened before like bad plugs or coil packs, or if it's obvious. For other stuff I carry a code reader.
