More reasons to stay away from Trashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Are Nashville car burglars getting more brazen?

In the last week, News 2 has documented multiple cases of young thieves crisscrossing across West Nashville and Belle Meade stealing cars, even trying to carjack citizens to avoid getting captured.

A recent incident from Spring Hill would seem to indicate that car burglars are starting to escalate chances for violence.

And then there's this one:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A woman suffered serious injuries after she was shot while confronting a car burglar outside of her North Nashville residence early Tuesday morning, according to Metro police.

Officers responded around 1:30 a.m. to a reported shooting on Delta Avenue, where the victim was located with a gunshot wound to her leg.

  1. Thingsdam are so bad in some areas of the downtown area that the car owners just quit locking there doors so the thieves would stop breaking there windows. The bums really appreciated that and now the car owner comes out to find his car was slept and pissed in during the night. Just dam!

  2. Social commentary aside: expect this to get worse in the near term. Between high unemployment, government stipends covering expenses, and the heat starting,violence will escalate. Nationally, the lockdowns are exacerbating the situation. Its a powder keg.
