    1. You can skip ahead or You can click on the gear logo and bump the play speed up. You also may have to bump the resolution down a little depending on your set up. I watch many videos at 1.25 speed or 1.5 speed.

  3. I had to quit after a minute or two. oh, I own one of those Carcano's and I have been to Dallas and looked out the window, back when you could, and I think it was an easy shot. I was in my second year of university in 63 and remember the events very well. At the time I thought the distance was much farther than it actually turned out to be when I was able to look out the window of the book depository. Don't forget Oswald was a Marine certified marksman.

    1. In USMC terms from that era until very recently, a Marksman could be one point away from not being a Marine. Not to be confused with the modern USMC designated marksman concept.

    2. Agree with the part about it being an easy shot. Anyone remotely competent with a good scoped bolt action rifle could have made that. All the conspiracy theory stuff sort of dried up for me once I actually looked at the site. Don't own a Caranco but I have a nephew that uses one for deer all the time. Seems like a decent handling little carbine to me and most non shooters would be amazed how fast you can get repeat shots out of a bolt action with a little practice.

    3. Or as Private Snowball said in Full Metal Jacket, "That Book Suppository Building."

    4. Reminds me of the old Ron White (?) Joke about the sniper and bringing in the 10 year old named Poot. "It's alright y'all, Poot got em"

  4. That is one garbage rifle that cost Oswald $19.95. It is inaccurate (for a rifle), but good enough for Oswald’s purposes.

    1. About $170 in today's dollars.

  5. After hearing so many horror stories from my friends in the gun culture I got shed of my Carcano back in the late 70's . Exploding chamber stories and split barrels was the norm from what I understand .

  6. They are very variable in quality. Some are just spectacular shooters, perfect for anything up to 500 yards or so.

    Others? Suck donkey dick.

But, yeah, from the window, Lee Harvey had an easy shot. Could easily have done it with a .22LR.

Know a fellow who loves his Carcano for woods shooting and for shooting hogs.

  7. I don't suppose that's the Commemorative J.F.K. edition Carcano.

  8. Let me say this for the umpteenth time....Oswald didn't kill Kennedy and we'll never learn the truth.
P.S. The guy was so hung up on pronouncing the name of the rifle, I had to shut it down after about 2 minutes too!

  9. I wonder if that guy is related to Joe Biden? I think a bit of senility is creeping in. His older video's were pretty good and moved along nicely. This video I shut off after about 5 mins, it just didn't go anywhere.
