LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A state official says a Louisville barbecue cook was fatally shot by a National Guard member. They say that happened after the cook fired his gun as law enforcement approached his eatery. MORE
Police say the rifle shot the man after the man’s firearm fired at the rifle. Police did not say if they had the rifle in custody.
Search turns up the usual: He had dreams. He planned on opening a restaurant. They shot him down like a dog. He fed a food desert. He was a community pillar.
Could be all that is true. But none of those made him smart enough not to shoot at cops and soldiers.
