MODESTO, Calif. — Stanislaus County is preparing to implement a mandatory face coverings in public order as a way to mitigate the spread of the novel coronavirus, officials said Wednesday.
Stanislaus County Board Supervisor Kristin Olsen said during the Stanislaus County Office of Emergency Services daily COVID-19 briefing that the order will go into effect on Monday. Details about the order are expected to be released Friday.

DeleteI have a medical condition that prevents me from wearing a mask. The Americans with Disabilities Act says you cannot force me to wear a mask. Under the ADA I am not obligated to tell you any details about my condition. Failure to respect my rights under the ADA is a Federal Offense. This is enforced by the US Department of Justice.
I'm thinking of having this printed out on business cards so I can just hand the damn things out.

I went grocery shopping yesterday. Twice I was accosted by store managers who insisted I wear a mask. One said it is state law. Playing along, I said the law should make accommodations for health reasons. I said wearing a mask triggers my allergy. I didn't tell them I'm allergic to bull shit.
ReplyDeleteI was the only person in the store not wearing a mask. Oh boy, the looks I got. None dared to say anything. It was hilarious to watch the behaviors of other shoppers. If it looked I would come within the magic six feet they would about face and scurry away.

Speaking of negros, I had to go to the electronics store today. A young (20's) black guy was at the door, wearing a mask, goggles, and a light-blue medical style "anti-contamination" smock. His job was to spray your hands with sanitizer when you came through the door, and he was very serious about it. I must have done something because he just made a single spritz in the vague direction of my right hand and called it a day. My companion got her hands well and thoroughly "sanitized". #hystericalbullshit
I'm noticing that the persons least likely to comply with the hysterical bullshit are white men my age and older. Women, younger people in general, and non-whites are all almost uniformly masked. (Now in my AO there aren't a lot of inner-city types, so I can't generalize my observations to those people.)
I went grocery shopping yesterday too. Noticed lots more people not wearing masks, more people with the top of the mask under their nose, an lots of sheeple still wearing them.
ReplyDeleteDuring this whole evolution, I've only HAD to wear a mask once, and that was for my aunt's funeral in Arkysaw a month ago. At that it was signage, no enforcement.
If you've got a beard, tell them to fuck off with that mask shit; masks don't work if you have a beard. (Dirty Little Secret: They don't work if you don't have a beard either.)
This year has been a year of me in and out of several Doctor's care. (Aortic stenosis, heart cath with stents. A half dozen melanomas removed. On meds for advanced skin cancer.)
