    1. Or maybe he just believed that we do actually live in a police state and that it is ruining the american lifestyle. I think the reason you didn't become a cop is because the psych eval is supposed to filter jackasses like this, and you.

    2. It looked like he wanted his ticket so he could continue with his life, I don't see a problem with that.

    3. If you think that cop was in the right, I am glad you didn't become one too.

  6. Why doesn't this cop write him a ticket? It is all on camera and the judge would throw this case out of court. WTF??????????????????

    1. Then the government badge thugs need to start earning respect instead of being at war with the American people.

    2. respect is earned. this guy being a dick doesn't get any respect.

    3. Amen to that.
We have cities on fire right now because some cops were too stupid, or brutal, to back off when they should have.
I always thought "cooler heads prevail?"

    5. General disrespect BY law enforcement is the problem in this video.

  8. Don't get me confused with a police state tyrant.
    BUT!!!
Johnny Jackwagon in the car is NOT going to be tased, sprayed or arrested because he was speeding.
Johnny Jackwagon is most likely going to be going to jail today for disobeying a law officer's legal command.
Getting out of the vehicle is for the safety of both the officer and driver.

    1. BS. No government employee has the authority to give a command to anyone. Pulling a person out of the car is just as much for their safety as " I need to handcuff you for your safety". It is nothing more than a power grab by a badge heavy thug. The rights of a citizen are more important than the safety or life of a government employee.

    2. BBBBOOOOLLLLSSSSHHHHIIIITTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Johnny Jackwagon is the cop and this video is exactly the reason that most citizens HATE cops. Get out of the vehicle for my and your safety? There is no legal basis for a cop to order you out of your car, unless you're nodding out drunk or stoned. Why, so you can body slam me into the ground,m then proceed to kick, stomp and punch me because I'm "resisting"? Who the fuck are you shittin'? This cop is being an asshole just because he thinks he can.

This is EXACTLY the reason that people are calling for the cops to be disbanded. Personally I think that's a bad idea. However, when there are vids like this out there, and I'm sure this isn't the only one, it lends credence to the impression that there's a bunch of bad cops out there that need to be terminated. This is exactly how you get Derrick Chauvins committing murder.

    3. It didn't look like that to me, it looked like the cop was demanding respect he didn't deserve.

    4. Note that he was repeatedly saying, "Turn off your phone". To quote the state, "If you are doing nothing wrong, why are you afraid of being seen?"

    5. how is it safer for the cop for him to be out of the car? it's really hard to do hand to hand if you're seated with a seatbelt on. it's really hard to shoot over your shoulder without really telegraphing what you're doing.

if the cop thought he'd run then take the keys or lay a spike strip under the rear tires as he walked up.

"get out of the car" is a prelude to something else. if he has a reason to search the car, get a warrant. it's not that hard.

      Delete
    6. No, you keep them IN the car for your safety. Hard to whoop ass when you have to exit the vehicle against an armed officer. We were trained that you NEVER get someone out of the vehicle unless you have probable cause to arrest them. 60 in a 55 is not probable cause. The U. S. district court here ruled that 60 in a 55 is well within the margin of error for speedometers. Back in 1999 we were instructed to void all tickets with a 10% tolerance of the speed limits except for school zones.

  9. I'd like to know what happened before and after, but it sure looks like a bully with a badge and gun.

  10. Do dumb thing win dumb prizes. The cop was a jerk but the guy in the car was a bigger jerk. I I would have liked to have seen the rest of it. My guess the participation award winner driver got to wear the shiny bracelets and got printed. If he resisted I am sure he may have bumped his head getting into the police car or walked into the door at the jail.

IMO any cop can be a scumbag at some point but most are ok most of the time. But there are some cops that are jerks most of the time. The self-righteous driver will always be a dirtbag and is probably one of the dirtbags in the CHAZ/CHOP zone or wants to be.

  11. Police draw their recruits from the wrong resource pool, namely the military. When I was growing up, cops were your friends and neighbors. Now they are the hammer and see every problem as a nail.

  12. The "officer" is NOT going to be safer if he makes me get out of the car..... He will be giving me many more ways to take him out than if I was sitting in my car... fucking MORON cops.. ALL COPS ARE SCUM

  13. Whenever I hear someone say there are good cops, it has the same effect on me as saying, "I believe rainbows are unicorn farts."

  14. I guess that department already had a budget cut that they have to use all their pepper spray before they get another one...I would need to see the whole stop before I rush to judgement on either side... Speeding tickets though are a tyrants playground...

    ReplyDelete
  15. If the cop had reasonable suspicion of another crime, then of course he had the right to pull the guy out of the car. But it is very instructive that the cops pepper spray was empty. That means that the cop had used it quite often.
I can only conclude that the cop is one with a God syndrome, similar to what some doctors have, and gets off on pushing others around, issuing orders, and expecting them to be obeyed, without question.
I tend to obey authorities, just to avoid more trouble for myself. But I see the day coming when cops like this make all cops untrustworthy. And that will make law abiding citizens like myself not so quick to follow their directions.

  17. This is why when a cop is in trouble most people sing the song "Walk on By". All the numb a*shole had to do was give the ticket and leave. But this cop was doing what they all do, climb up your rear bumper to try to get you to offend and think it is a joke.

  18. 95% of bad law enforcement officers give the 5% of good officers a bad name.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Stuff like this and more is precisely why I have switched gears and want all "law enforcement" de-funded posthaste. They do not protect anyone, they aren't helping anyone, and make just about every situation worse.

Turn them into a body collection team and be done with it.

  20. Love these guys above in the comments. Paraphrasing, Disrepect for cops is how you get hurt. Really, you won't like when that ends there are not enough of you and policing as a profession is over, if white guys like me do not support it. Ego control is the most important training Cops can get!

  21. Another cop causing people to hate cops

    ReplyDelete
  22. "Ego control is the most important training Cops can get". Yet they don't.

What they get drummed into them over and over during training is that they have to DOMINATE every situation using every tool at their disposal. DOMINATE, not control. Big distinction there and that's how you get Derrick Chauvins and this asshole above.

  24. It's really hard to tell which one is the bigger prick here. We need dashcam video of the minutes before the stop, and video of the first interaction.

  25. Look, you are arguing about an encounter you only saw part of. Like so many of these videos, it shows only part of the encounter, and everybody jumps to conclusions.

Okay, the FACTS are that the courts have ruled that any officer has the authority to order you out of your car. You don't have to like it, but that's the way it is. The cop is not successfully de-escalating, but it seems like the douche in the car is hell-bent on disrespecting the officer, which doesn't usually end well.

Think of it this way: the cop has legal authority over you just as your boss has economic authority over you. If your boss gave you a task to do that he has the power to assign you, and you responded the way this driver does, would you still have a job?

Okay, so when a cop pulls you over for speeding and gives lawful orders, you have two choices: 1) eat some crow, kiss ass, take the speeding ticket, and go home or 2) don't comply, get sprayed/tazed, arrested, charged with several crimes and the speeding ticket, and spend thousands on lawyers to keep your silly ass out of jail. Which one sounds better and more sensible? I don't like when a-holes flex their authoritah, but it's just not worth the fight.

  26. Who, where, and when. Until we start outing these jackholes and their departments at a regional and national level they will keep on doing whatever they want in their little fiefdoms.

    ReplyDelete
  27. It is legal for them to pull you out of the car for "safety" (Supreme Court Pennsylvania v Mimms) so it's the courts fault for giving cops this extra "tool" that they abuse. They use the "for your safety" excuse but they use it to give you the once-over to see if they can get you for something else (walking funny, bulge in waistband, open car door view of door pockets, etc.).

    ReplyDelete
  28. Just obey, and everything will be all right. Maybe Officer Friendly will even use lube when he bends you over the hood of your car -- for his and your safety.

Mom and I were talking the other day, and I told her how so many of these cops brought the current troubles down on themselves. She reminded me of how often the cops would harass my friends and I when we were kids for nothing more than raising some dust on our mini bikes and go carts. Yeah, no love lost here for cops and copsuckers - and they earned that. Don't give me that, "Not all cops are like that" bullshit. Good cops who do nothing to stop bad cops are not good cops.

  29. When I was a boy, the parents would occasionally take the bunch of us (7) to grandmas. Once, we were heading east on the Mass pike when all of a sudden there were police cars flying up and down the highway like it was 911 (instead of 1965). Turned out to be a routine stop in which the cop, upon arriving to the drivers window, got his face blown off. The why's were /are quite unimportant after that. Things never returned to normal. And lawyering up has only made things worse. 50s were quiet. I miss riding my bike without a mask... (not that I do).
