Larry - since a lot of them migrated from kalypornia it would only be fitting to repatriate them. I'm retired so I can drive a bus load or three back there. I'd have to stop just short of the NV/CA border and drop them off though since my Texas LTC isn't recognized in granola land.
People in Houston had trouble a few years ago after concealed carry was passed. Licensed carriers were routinely arrested and had their guns confiscated. The DA's words on the subject? "Nobody carries a gun in my town." Once arrested the licensee usually spent at least one night in jail (two if arrested on a Friday night), was released after a court appearance (after hiring a lawyer), and had to legal fees to retrieve his legally carried firearm. Houston and Austin are liberal hotspots, the rest of the state is more civilized.
This hasn't got anything to do with, this story, but even here in Australia, it's showing country music on tv. It has Darius Rucker singing with 99.9% of the audience being white. I wonder if he and his audience care about BLM, or is it just another spring.
After the city government in Austin basically trashed the police and showed them no support, I doubt there is a single officer that would put the least bit of effort into taking weapons from law-abiding citizens!!!
Meh. Asstin Mayor can kiss my phat hairy butt. Not like I'm going to that shithole any time soon but it's not like he can stop me from carrying if I did.
Of course he'd say that. One of his fellow travelers bit the dust because of a gun.

But, but, by god Texas

Austin is only technically part of Texas. If we could flush a big chunk of the population to California, it'd be a lot better.

DeleteTechnically, a crew-served weapon that was mounted on a roof-top would not be "on the street", right?
ReplyDeleteAsking for a friend.

ReplyDeleteDoesn't TX have a preemption law, that no municipality or county can supersede state law?
DeleteAlso, since when does a DA make law? And where was the county Sheriff on the matter?
DeleteThe old idea of not allowing blax to be armed makes more sense every day.

ReplyDeleteI dunno what the problem is but the solution is ALWAYS more gun control. That works, right?

Dude got what he had coming. Present a rifle to somebody in Texas expect to get shot.
ReplyDeleteAustin is a liberal shithole. In a way it's a lot like Los Angeles. Except there are more Commifornians in Austin than LA.
