Crime Explosion Forces Minneapolis Residents to Form Militias

“Minneapolis residents in some areas still recovering from rioting and unrest are forming community watch and security groups, some bearing firearms, to fight a surge of crime,” reports the Wall Street Journal.


While no one can blame the residents — in fact they should be applauded for doing what it takes to protect their own – this is, in ways I’ll explain below, not good. It is, however, a sign of things to come in countless Democrat-run cities:

    Actually, no. Government's first priority is protection of life and property of its citizens. How are they going to going to collect taxes otherwise? From dead people and burnt out property?

    I'm anxious to see how well Minneapolis, Portland and Seattle do collecting taxes in the fall. 'Course, if you disband your police department, you should be able to adjust the tax rate downward. Oh, you were planning to use the money stolen from the police budget for more homeless and illegal alien outreach? Well, pardon me for being so short sighted.

    ...and we wonder why all of the Demonrat shit holes are on fire.

    1. They don't intend to. Minneapolis has already applied to the Federal government to get funds to repair the damage from the "peaceful protests". Fortunately, President Trump denied the request, but I'm sure they are looking at the Nov election, with visions of having the taxpayers pay for it.

      I can't tell if you're being serious or not.

      The whole and entire job of government is listed above. We have rights. Governments are established to protect those rights. Among those rights are life, liberty, and to pursue our own happiness. When governments become destructive unto those ends, it is our right (and I would argue our duty) to destroy it and create a new one that will do what it's told.

  2. 1. Government has two purposes: maintain order and protect property. Do those, and everything else falls into place.
    2. "lurching toward solutions" is the dumbest political quote of the year, beating anything Joe Biden has said.

  3. I scored a job with the DNR here. The big conundrum is the budget for next FY starting next July, and pretty much all the leadership is women, including the governor.

    I'm enjoying my brief respite from real work, and building up my skills and preps for The End, which will probably be around harvest time this fall.
