84 mm recoilless anti-tank weapon "Carl Gustav". Been there, done that. Still have that ringing in my ears.
And that is just a simulator cartridge - a warshot is waaaay worse, makes your whole body ache.
Thanks for the info, Martin. My further research shows I just missed this as a platoon weapon by a few years. Since 2014 the M3 MAAWS is assigned to all Army Infantry platoons.
Must not be anything recoilless about it if you need some one to put there hand on your back like that!!!! Grayman
Was a 11H30 in the army, backblast is not your friend.
