Clearing out California's Death Row

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Two more California death row inmates died Friday from apparent complications of the coronavirus in the midst of an outbreak that has infected about 40% of inmates at San Quentin State Prison, corrections officials said.

Scott Thomas Erskine, 57, and Manuel Machado Alvarez, 59, died at outside hospitals.
