Race and gender over qualifications

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden said Monday he was considering four Black women to be his running mate, and has been receiving extensive vetting briefings about each potential candidate.

“I am not committed to naming any (of the potential candidates), but the people I’ve named, and among them there are four Black women,” Biden told MSNBC’s Joy Reid on “The ReidOut.”

Hey, I've got no problem whatsoever with a female or black VP, but don't choose a candidate for those reasons alone. Affirmative action sucks.

  1. Remember Lannie Guinier, aka The Quota Queen? She's teaching law at Harvard. What does that tell you about Harvard. No? Here .. I'll help you out. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lani_Guinier

  2. Don't kid yourself, this stance will backfire spectacularly...
Even the blacks (working class men for the most part) that I know see this as pandering and counter-productive. Te best person should be chosen for the job, period. If that happens to be a black woman, great!

    1. Choosing "the best person for the job" would exclude Joe Biden. So Democrats are working from FAIL from the get-go. Don't expect it to get any better because it won't.

  5. This is all just a smokescreen. We all know the Veep choice will be Hitliary, and Biden is stupid enough to put himself between her and the Presidency. No clue he's putting a target on his back!!

  6. Affirmative action sucks. Agreed, but this is not about affirmative action, it is about getting blacks to vote for HIM, based on the color of HER skin.

  8. Sorry, I"M not the one who made this all about tribes. So, no, I"ll be voting and helping and preparing for my tribe. Blacks vote like 90+% democrat, no matter what. so what's the point of that anyway? Whites should be voting for THEIR candidate.

remember I"M not the one that made this about race and sex. They are not going to like the new rules that they so amply want.

  10. Sure, why not?
Why should the Vice Presidency be different from any other job?

  11. Isn't it racist and sexist to limit the candidates to black women?
