  1. A good explanation of infantry training. And a thing read once: Fire without maneuver is useless; movement without fire is suicide.

  2. What I gather is buddy teams are a great way to cover each other and advance or RETREAT. Remember. Avoid crowds and every man the force has is NOT replaceable. Do not try to advance unless the ingenious people have a serious advantage in manpower. Hit. Run. Armies rely on air support and artillery. Take note that it takes them time to bring that firepower to the hotspot. Do not attempt to fight like a field army. Bite them hard and run if you don't have a 3 to 1 advantage in manpower. No man is replaceable. Whew. I'm so glad it couldn't ever happen in America. I have a bitchin 401k plan. I love the Beatles. Black Olives Matter.

  3. I am responsible for each slug exiting my firearm.
Prior to pulling my trigger, I must identify my target... and everything downrange of my target.
Immediately after I destroy my target, I must stop firing.
Firing my weapon without hitting and destroying my target is useless.

Unless I have unlimited ammunition, I must aim my firearm and pull my trigger as if this is the last cartridge I will ever possess.

  4. What a great refresher course. As an alumni of the Benning School for Boys ( US Army Infantry center ) for LT school, Airborne school, Ranger school and CPT school, I can tell you that those basic principles from the 1940s are still sound today. Shoot, move and communicate are words to live by. Sadly, given the current state of things in the US, we might be dusting off these lessons and putting them into practical application.
