Yup I remember my steel fab days, except it was Matco for me, think my brother had some Snap On stuff and I avoided his brands when able and it was less $$. Go out to the truck to make your payment and end up putting another hundred or two back on the books. Quite the racket, except if they let a guy get too extended and he got laid off.
I finally had to run the Snap On guy off from my business. My guys were getting in too deep. Yeah, I know they are adults and can look after themselves, but I did them a favor.
#3, I have a friend, who miscarried several times, then had a boy. Come to find out, she was pregnant with twins, one died, and the hormones from that dead baby allowed the second baby to carry to full term, healthy and alive. The doctors learned from that, and put her on hormones of some kind, and she carried a second baby, a girl, full term, and she is fine now as well. Strangest thing I had ever heard of. One other thing, this woman was drop dead gorgeous in high school. I mean, blond hair, perfect body, etc. She was 3 years younger than me, but she liked me and so we hung out some times. I think she is married to a doctor now.
My kids would never get #2 even though I was a teen before I knew to call them Brazil nuts. 40 years ago a couple of black gals at work asked me if people actually called them the colloquial name I grew up with. Yes was all I could day. It was a bit flattering that I was considered a safe one to ask.
