I worked at a guy's place who had an Aussie/Border Collie just like that. He had a big rain bird set up on a stand four feet off the ground. That dog would chase that spray all day! I got tired just watching it.
Had glasses like that for fishing. When ever I looked at my watch, the display would disappear. Never knew what time it was so, they were perfect for fishing.
#10 reminded me of a friend of my mom. She developed tetanus while on a pack trip in the Thorofare region SE of Yellowstone. Even today the ranger cabin there is the furthest spot from a paved road in the lower 48. Someone (Buffalo Bill's grandson actually) rode out for help and pilot flew a plane in to haul her out. They used horses to pull the plane to the top of the hill for take-off. This was in 1938.
