The current revolution is based on a series of lies, misrepresentations, and distortions, whose weight will soon sink it.

Unfortunately few in authority have been more wrong, and yet more self-righteously wrong, than the esteemed Dr. Anthony Fauci. Given his long service as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and his stature during the AIDS crisis, he has rightly been held up by the media as the gold standard of coronavirus information. The media has constructed Fauci as a constant corrective of Trump’s supposed “lies” about the utility of travel bans, analogies with a bad flu year, and logical endorsement of hydroxychloroquine as a “what do you have to lose” possible therapy.
But the omnipresent Fauci himself unfortunately has now lost credibility. The reason is that he has offered authoritative advice about facts, which either were not known or could not have been known at the time of his declarations.

I've said this before on these pages, Fauci should have been gone the very first time he contradicted President Trump in public. The media constantly paints President Trump as a liar. How many lies has Fauci told in the past 7 months?
ReplyDeleteI would have dribbled him down Pennsylvania Avenue after the first time he disagreed with me in public. That's not something you do to your boss.
I predict he'll be gone on November 4th.

VDH's recent book, The Case For Trump, is the best description not only of Trump the Man, but also of Trump the Idea. It is reassuring that there is at least one writer in this country who has not lost his mind and is unafraid of telling the truth. Same goes about VDH's take on immigration. Here is a clue: unlike the majority of those with opinions about immigration, he has lived with it his entire life, being-among other things-a California rancher, as were his parents and their parents.
ReplyDeleteAlso I have read that the surgeon general does not agree with him but media do not report surgeon generals opinions
