And we're supposed to trust them with our votes in November?

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — At least 4,800 chicks shipped to Maine farmers through the U.S. Postal Service have arrived dead in recent weeks after rapid cuts hit the federal mail carrier’s operations, U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree said.

  1. This is the mail sorters retaliating for not getting their already fookin' outrageous salaries increased, pure and simple. Chicks have been sent through the mail since FOREVER with absolute minimal problems. Now, all of a sudden, because Trump refuses to to bail them out AGAIN, there's a problem?

This is the problem with ALL public employee unions. Used to be public employees worked for a little less present money in exchange for good, FREE healthcare and a gold plated retirement package AND gold plated health care for life AT NO COST. Now, they demand top $ wages AND gold plated health care while working in addition to a cushy retirement pay package and the same gold plated health care FOR LIFE and we the schlepps get to pay for it all.

How does a mail carrier/sorter earn $50K a year to start and up to 80K after 20 in a delivery market with DECLINING USE by the average citizen? I wouldn't mind so much if the actualy walked their routes any more, but in addition to FREE uniforms, they also get a FREE truck to haul their mail around. ...and the sorters? 99% of all mail these days is automatically sorted, so all the people in the sorting depot have to do is make sure that the collection bags don't get too full and they get on the right outbound truck. RRREEEAAALLLYYY tough work. R U shitin' me?

  2. Fuck the USPS. Shut them down and privatize the service. I know it's going to be tough to find a company that DELIVERS PACKAGES and shit, but it'll be worth the hassle. Lowest bidder gets the contract, but their balls will be held in a vice, with guaranteed prison sentences for malfeasance and/or deliberate slow-downs.

Oh, and union organizers will be shot on sight.

  3. A mail delivery idiot I know was pissed because his little name badge had an "E" on it, apparently that meant essential employee, and he expected to be paid more for delivering mail during the scamdemic. I explained as nicely as I could that a chimpanzee could be trained to put little pieces of paper in little boxes so he should be happy to have a job. Now he is pissed at me

  4. A lot of orders I mail out have been turning up scorched because the delays cause first class mail to take 10-14+ days. I have since switched to Priority mail but even then it took them around three days to get a parcel from my little town to Houston. Same state.

I don't like having to send out apologies to my customers and replace entire orders out of pocket.

    Just what is the problem?!

    1. I'm considering a business account with them because I have a store within a few miles of me, but I have a post office within walking distance (<2 miles).

  6. I was fortunate. All 16+1 I ordered arrived alive 2 weeks ago. Then one died after I went on vacation during my sister-in-law's watch.

Little critters sure grow fast, though. We placed our order back in April, and August was the soonest we could get it delivered.
