Child punched, whipped over virtual schooling in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A woman whipped her step-niece with a belt and punched the girl after she asked for help with her online schooling, an arrest warrant alleges.

Monalisa Sherley, 40, was arrested Thursday afternoon on a charge of child abuse.

  2. Common core math will bring out that shit in a regular person. I used to try helping my daughter with her junior high math homework and the way they teach mat today is weird !! I could easily do the work old school, but the methodology now - shit I'd flunk because I couldn't show my work to their satisfaction.

    It all worked out though, my daughter is now pretty handy with math and may decide to become an actuarian.

    2. I was helping my grandson with his homework when we got to arithmetic, it's insane how they teach that these days. I showed him how I was taught, which is easier and faster, he told me he likes my way better but without the crazy work shown he couldn't turn it in for a passing grade. SMH
