Perhaps they make a mug about 4 times the size to allow enough room to cover all the grammatical rules so often violated by those woefully too numerous stupid frigging window licking no-accounts of questionable parentage of whom their willful ignorance is of such a depth that they do not....
I asked my grandson who is now 13 and in middle school if he knew how to conjugate a verb. His eyes kinda glazed over like he'd never heard of such a thing.
When I was 13 my eyes would have glazed over as well. Not because I didn't know what you were talking about, but because by then, I would have been so sick of them in school.
Lord of the Fleas, Matthew, and Roy, I'm with you. Let's not even get started on your/you're, or "literally", and my ex-wife used to say "supposably" and "irregardless". If I bothered to think about it for a couple of minutes, I'd undoubtedly come up with many more. --Tennessee Budd
I saw an interview once where a college girl used the word 'literally' something like 5 times in the same conversation. And yeah, 'irregardless' drives me up a fucking wall. My all time favorite expression to hate is still 'booger hook on the bang switch' though. It brings the user down to a third grade mentality.
Danke, OberfuhrerSchreibweise!

ReplyDeleteUsing the apostrophe for plurals when it is for contractions and possessives. Yeah, I'm old enough to have been taught actual grammar in school.
