AUGUST 20--A Kentucky man has copped to trying to sell his girlfriend’s child for $2500 outside a convenience store.
According to police, a tipster called 911 around 1:20 AM Sunday to report that a male suspect approached two individuals and offered to sell them the four-year-old child (who was with the man at a Speedy Mart in Corbin, a city in the state’s southeastern corner).

ReplyDeleteWhen my daughter was little and being bad, I used to tell her I was going to sell her to the gypsies. One day, when she was older, she retorted with: "Oh yeah! For how much?" I answered: "Oh, maybe a case of beer or two."
ReplyDeleteSometimes, when in the grocery store, I'll see someone with one or two little kids in the cart. I have been known to stop and ask what isle they found them in. This usually gets a laugh, but I remember one woman who retorted with: "You can have these two if you want."
