True, but I'd argue that the rot started gaining momentum with eastern European immigration, really took off after WW2, and was firmly in place in all our important institutions before 2000. What we are seeing now is the covers being taken off. Previously it crept through society like mold through bread: by the time you see the green fuzz on the surface, the bread is already thoroughly contaminated.
It sounds like she's threatening us.
