#5. Memphis did something like that (cable grid pressed into the asphalt with a steamroller) to Beale Street to make it look like it was brick-paved. Didn't work all that well.
Last time I ate mexican, a couple years ago, I was 4 hours away from home. Big mistake. I had to stop at every rest area on the way home. Trip took an extra hour.
#9 in a similar incident i found on the net the Japanese? Tourist freaked out and the elephant keeper followed it around until the phone came out. The Girl did not want to touch it (for obvious reasons and tried to get her friend to do it. if it worked it would have made a great commercial.
#1 As a 10 YO kid, I had a black bear get tangled up in the twine holding our lean-to up while it was trying to get the bag of fish I had right next to my head. Knocked the whole shebang down on the six of us. I was too young to know enough to be skeered.

ReplyDeleteTilley (the hat people) uses a similar story to illustrate their warranty. Hat came out the other end and was replaced.
