WHAT THE FUCK, DOLLY???

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Country music superstar Dolly Parton has kept her beliefs on politics largely to herself for many years, but in a recent interview with Billboard Magazine, she said she supports the Black Lives Matter movement and protests that are occurring across the country.

“Of course Black lives matter. Do we think our little white asses are the only ones that matter? No!” the 74-year-old told Billboard in a cover story on the August 15, 2020 issue.

    1. Six black fans? Two of them are coal miners who need a bath.

    2. Wow, 6 black fans? Almost as much as her white fans.

  3. Just remember that she made more just off royalties from Whitney Houston recording one of her songs than anything else she ever did. Record sales on the Country Western charts are nothing compared to Pop.

    1. My cousin lives in the mountains just above Pigeon Forge. She just retired from Dollywood, last fall. She was in guest services, and I am not sure, but she may have been in charge of it.
She didn't say so, but I suspect that there was a reason for her to retire, because she liked her job. I am guessing political correctness had something to do with it.
She offered my wife and I VIP tickets to go there several times. We never went, but it was nice of her to offer. She still offers to have us to come to their house in the mountains. I have seen pictures, it is simply breath taking.
She told me several years ago that Dolly Parton was the same in real life as she appeared on Television. Too bad that money makes people do bad things.

  7. So sad to see Dolly be one of those fading celebrities who feels that they have to placate the latest liberal "Cause du Jour" in order to remain significant. Her quote - “All these good Christian people that are supposed to be such good Christian people, the last thing we’re supposed to do is to judge one another." I'm sorry Dolly but that is all BLM is about - judging others based on whether you support their cause or not. If not then you're racist.

    1. BLM judges based on the color of the skin because their content lacks character.

  8. After reading the whole article on the Billboard site, I concluded that she made a middle of the road statement, so as not to damage her "brand". The article makes clear she doesn't want to offend anyone, anywhere, at any time. The authors just let the statement stand on it's on, with no questions about what kind of support she is giving. She's paid her band since 2016, but furloughed most of Dollywood employees, many of whom are likely black.

    1. I didn't read the article, but I expected something like that. The BLM terrorist may have pointed that she had a nice park and it would be a shame if something were to happen to it.

  9. Kind of figured she was leaning that way when I heard she was removing references to Dixie at her theme park.

  10. "Black lives matter." That's a simple statement of opinion, which I agree with. In my mind, I don't know about Parton's, it has nothing to do with the Marxist group.
Too bad she's removing the name Dixie from attractions at her park, not that I would ever have gone there anyway. She's catering to snowflakes.

  11. Someone should probably mention that BLM made more money this year than she has in where whole life.

  12. Black lives do matter, just as much as anyone elses. It kind of sounds like that's the way she's thinking of it, but she may be guilty of the "innocent ignorance" she spoke about, but of what the BLM leadership is all about. And she could be going senile. I'd need more info before writing her off.
