August 26 was a historic day for professional sports in the US, with athletes banding together to stand against racial injustice and refusing to play in games across the country following the police shooting of Jacob Blake.
Three NBA playoff games were postponed after the Milwaukee Bucks decided not to take the floor against the Orlando Magic as players took a stand with their Bucks counterparts. Three WNBA, five Major League Soccer and three Major League Baseball games were also postponed.

DeleteHockey is a bunch of white kids who grew up in the Northern hemisphere. Sweden, Chec-republic, slovenians, russians, massive Canadian presence, just look at any team roster.
The rest of the professional sports leagues have been dominated by african-based genetics.
There have been a couple black guys played pro hockey, french and canadians, they act like white people.
I'm a huge fan of hockey, Buffalo Sabres born and bred... be sure to support that league and its players, they're a lot more like you and me. I've met and gotten to know several of them.

ReplyDeleteI stopped watching when those overpaid crybabies went on strike. That was when the SF Giants were up 15 games after mid-season but ended the season in last place. They threw a 6 game series with the CO Rockies to spite the owners.

I don't expect much from the players. Like actors they are getting paid to play a role and do it well. But, it is shocking that no one around them has the slightest bit of intelligence or integrity in sorting out these supposed crimes by police on blacks. George Floyd, Rayshard Brooks, and Jacob Blake were all career criminals who fucked around when confronted by the police and found out. Let's start talking about the blacks shooting and killing dozens in places like Chicago every month!

Just like the U.S. Flag, I support every American's right to protest what they consider wrong with the country, in any peaceful way. If they want to burn a flag,they have that right, and I support that right. But if they choose to do so in my presence, I will do everything in my power to stop them, accepting the fact that I may get arrested for doing so. Sometimes,a person must take a stand, against something that insults the many millions of men and women who have risked their lives, often giving that sacrifice, and have given up the right to self determination, for the country. And if it means that I risk jail for doing so, I accept that, as a part of what I find to be good and proper. The NFL continues to get it wrong, and they won't get my support.

Therefore close the season NOW and do not pay them for this year and fine them 90% of their pay next year. If a regular person did that at their job they would not have their job. If you want to protest as a player you have the off season and days off to protest. People wanted sports to be a break from the 24/7 political BS. Now that sports have entered the political realm it is time to switch them off for a few years the NBA can go play for their CHINESE MASTERS IN CHINA. Maybe they could visit the slave camps that make their fancy shoes and then the NIKE trash factories.
