How environmentalists destroyed California’s forests

I believe it was John Fremont who once exclaimed in astonishment that one could ride a horse at full gallop in the Forests of the Sierras in California. Well, one can do that again now — not among the towering conifers, but over the ashes.

Right now I’m seeing the mountains I grew up in — where I went to school, where I hung out, camped, backpacked, boated, cheated death and generally formed the foundation of my character — burning down. It makes me sad and angry.

  1. Nailed it.
How sad is it that this man has to write under an assumed name in fear of losing his job... when expressing an opinion about forest policy?

  2. It's getting to be mind-boggling how often "Hit 'em and leave 'em in the street" offers a very practical solution to the problems plaguing modern America.

    1. Actually, I think more drastic measures are called for. I'm thinking high speed lead poisoning is going to be needed to rid this country of all of these do gooders that continually make it almost impossible for normal people to survive.

Has it always been like this or is this a " modern" (post WW II) problem.

  3. Could this be all part of a bigger plan to keep people more hearded into the inter-cities? Look at the Paradise Fire. Just saying.

    1. Don’t be ashamed. Most people are centered. Center left, center right. The Democratic Party abandoned centrists and went as far left as they could. How a Socialist almost got the nomination as a Democrat is perplexing. There is a socialist party. Why was he allowed on the Democratic ticket twice?
